These are the acronyms (initialisms) related to CK2 that you'll find on the Paradoxplaza forums:

  • "CK2"或"CKII" – 王国风云II，由于游戏特性，也有“丧失风云II”，以及最初直译名“十字军之王II”等其他称呼，这些均是指你正在阅读的wiki所属的游戏。

  • "DP" – Defensive pact. A agreement between several rulers to defend against an extremely threatening neighbor.
  • "NAP" – Non-Aggression Pact. Obtained via marriage/close relationship with another character. Prevents two parties from warring against one another. Can be negotiated into an alliance.
  • "WS" – "Warscore", the score used to calculate outcomes of wars.
  • "MTTH" – "Mean time to happen", mean or average time span in which the event is likely to fire, typically in the unit of months.
  • "MSR" – "Most Serene Republic" – a king-tier republic title.
  • "FoW" – "Fog of War" – Hides troop movements in provinces more than 1 province away from the player's realm borders, troops (including allies), or councillors.
  • "HK" – “猎人杀手”——一支庞大的军队
  • "MA" – "Moral Authority" – an abstraction of the level of unity and authority of a religion.
  • "NK" – North Korea mode – the practice of holding all counties (and perhaps even all baronies) directly, vastly in excess of your demesne limit. (See Reign of tyranny)

  • "OOS" – An "out of sync" bug, where two computers in multiplayer disagree about game state

  • "Gamey" - Used as an adjective to signify an action or tactic that, while not a cheat, significantly destroys game balance and gives tremendous bonuses to the player, especially when it involves actions that wouldn't make sense in historical context.
  • "Doomstack" - A noun signifying an extremely large and cohesive army that has the ability to destroy most obstacles; in the case of Mongol invasions, the doomstacks carry no attrition.
  • "Stackwipe" - A noun expressing the total destruction of an army, usually because of defending with low morale against a much larger force.
  • "to Nerf" - Used as a verb to indicate the weakening or softening of some feature, usually a title (nation or mercenary).
  • "to Buff" - Used as a verb, opposite of "nerf"
  • "(to) Blob" - Used as either a verb or a noun; the verb describes the tremendous growth in size of a nation so that it becomes really huge and almost completely homogenous, the noun describes a huge nation that might resemble a blob of paint on the map, hence the name.
  • "Border gore" - An artistic cartographer's nightmare, in which realms are manifestly non-convex or discontiguous. Borders seem to have been drawn with no regard for oceans, mountain ranges, or de jure territory. Whether due to war or inheritance conflicts, this situation tends to exacerbate regional instability.
  • "(to) Curbstomp" - Used as either a verb, a noun or an adjective. Describes a war or a battle in which the odds are overwhelmingly unbalanced, often leading to the annihilation of the losing side.
  • "(to) roflstomp" - A stronger version of "curbstomp".
  • "(to) Savescum" - Used as either a verb, a noun or an adjective; the verb describes the action of constant saving and reloading said saves whenever things are not going according to plan, the adjective is used to describe such a tactic, the noun describes a person who savescums (more commonly seen as "savescummer")
  • "Tutorial island" - An island in Europe, used most often as a substitute for "Ireland", by extension also used to mean "best place for a first game" (ex. "Mali is the Muslim Ireland")
  • "(to) Ragequit" - Used as either a verb or a noun; the verb describes the rageful quitting of a game, most often without saving, due to unforeseen circumstances which have ruined the game, the noun describes one iteration of the verb.
  • "Checksum" - A string of four letters that are used to verify whether two or more parties have exactly the same copy of the game. Checksums can change by one letter by playing and resigning, and differ completely if the two compared copies are not the same. Can be found on the lower left of the main menu to the right of the version number you are using.
  • "Vanilla" - Used as either a noun or an adjective; as a noun, describes the unmodified version of the game, as an adjective, used to denote that the mentioned feature is considered to be from the unmodified and up-to-date version of the game.
  • "Mod" - A user modification; some subtypes:
    • "Minimod" - A mod that's small in scope and often compatible with other mods.
    • "Micromod" - A mod even smaller in scope, most often changing only an event or two, or perhaps a single feature.
    • "Submod" - A mod that's a mod of another mod.
    • "Overhaul" - a mod that changes significant aspects of the game.
    • "Total Conversion" - Similar to an overhaul mod, except larger in scope.
    • "Complete/Total Overhaul" - Equivalent to above.
  • "Diff" - The difference in form and function between two things of the same scope: two files, two mods, two versions, two games etc.
  • "to Merge" - Used as a verb to most often indicate the merging of two different and normally incompatible mods or mechanics, usually custom ones, into one hybrid.
  • "Super-duke" - Also "Megaduke" or "Multi-duke", a duke with multiple ducal titles and a large demesne. Frequently super-dukes are vassals to a king and pose a large threat to realm stability if dissatisfied.
  • "Wincest" - Concatenation of win and incest. Used as a noun to describe the benefits of Zoroastrian divine marriage mechanic, which allows and rewards incestuous marriages.

天主孝子
法兰西的昵称。指法兰西虽然信仰天主教，却干了很多不虔诚的事情，比如1307年逮捕众多圣殿骑士团成员并处决没收财产，1309年攻入罗马并关押教宗卜尼法翁八世，逼迫继任者将教廷迁至法国境内的阿尼维翁长达69年（史称阿尼维翁时期）。正所谓，“我虽然废教宗，干骑士团，但我是个好儿子”。

王师
E mexikha.png阿兹特克帝国的昵称。出自蠢驴的脑洞，为了消除地图西边比东边更为安全的不均衡性，其在DLCDlc icon sunset invasion.png日落入侵中虚构了一个远比旧大陆文明先进的阿兹特克帝国对欧洲发动殖民征服，由于其巨量的火星兵战斗力强悍，一出场往往横扫西海岸，故此被玩家戏称为“王师”。
格拉摩根的诅咒
"格拉摩根的诅咒"来源于稚嫩的魔法师解说的游戏《十字军之王2》(又名《王国风云2》)系列的《不列颠统治者的日常·第三回》。其本意指招揽游戏中某位落魄贵族，并将游戏中的格拉摩根伯爵领赐予他，封为格拉摩根伯爵，等到征讨其宣称领地将其扶植上位后再收回格拉摩根领地的做法。但是由于格拉摩根伯爵换人数量之多，被网友吐槽为"格拉摩根的诅咒"，并繁衍出一系列恶搞词句。
以下为网友恶搞内容:
格拉摩根的伯爵，这句英国的歇后语出自公元十二世纪，是当时威尔士国王常用的征服手段。一般代表着被人卖了还帮忙数钱的角色，而"康诺特公爵"这一歇后语却为之相反，是代表着拿到了好处就放手，典型的懂大体的意思。(康诺特公爵是第一个成功逃脱格拉摩根诅咒的人)
慷慨解囊
主要指游戏中天主教国家可以向教宗用虔诚换金钱。最早是稚嫩的魔法师在游戏解说视频中，在像教皇要钱的时候解说为：“教宗大人慷慨解囊，给了我们一笔钱”，比较生动形象，从而流传开来。现有时候也指在索要赎金时对方给的钱。
份子钱
指游戏中玩家控制的角色以及继承人第一次结婚时的弹出事件选项，“是的大家都要凑份子”，可以获得一部分钱，另一个选项可以获得100威望。
民意代表
指密谋时的其他参与者，尤其是指在施行剥夺封臣土地阴谋时的参与者。最早来自于稚嫩的魔法师在游戏解说视频中采用此密谋时的解说：“我们就凑了几个民意代表”。
假意改信
指游戏中的选项“假意改信”，可以改信领主的宗教，但是拥有原宗教的秘密信仰。典出《天国王朝》里的“假意改信，日后悔过”。
光明的中世纪
指游戏中许多魔幻现实主义的玩法和事件，能轻易做到很多现代科技都无法做到的事情。另一层面就是P社四萌之间对比之时，CK2最为魔幻，显得“科技”比后来的EU4时代、Vic2时代、hoi时代甚至群星时代更“发达”，因此被誉为“光明的中世纪”。
例如：中世纪医生可以切腿治癌症、青蛙放肚皮治肺炎、祈祷治黑死病，相比之下，EU4中训练有素的医生总是把继承人治死；
将领瞬移、军队秒征召，各代基本上都有，都很“高科技”；
黑魔法；

玩法流派

公车流
指女性统治者通过使用勾引重心拉拢国内的男性封臣以及重要盟友，例如教宗大人，以此来稳定统治的一种玩法。由来顾名思义。
“秦城”流
指玩家把不忠诚的国内重要封臣全部抓进监狱并软禁，以此来避免他们组织派系、稳定统治的玩法。秦城监狱为国内著名的关押官员的监狱，故得名。
曹公流
指玩家使用一个帝国中的封臣开局，在帝国内部扩张，占有帝国中最多的土地，但是并不立刻推翻帝国的玩法，在此流派基础上还延伸出了一些其他的流派。因为情形很像曹操与汉献帝，故得名。
延伸流派例如：
“正统”曹公流，持续在国内扩张，使得皇帝只拥有一个直属封臣（即玩家自己）与一块伯爵领（甚至只有一块男爵领），“保护”皇帝在自己的宫廷内安安稳稳。
“背黑锅”流，某一老版本中，封臣的AE会转嫁给领主，因此封臣可以无视包围网随便扩张，而帝国领主背黑锅，现今版本已不适用。
内部爆破流，因为外部帝国压力无法方便扩张，可以“打不过就加入”，一般配合“假意改信”来加入隔壁的大帝国，在内部扩张并最后通过派系拉拢其他封臣或者直接宣战来独立，内部炸掉大帝国。也是最常用与实用的流派。
也有的玩家是通过加入神罗或者拜占庭来获得参选皇帝的资格，直接被选为皇帝。
