共和国（英文：The Republic，缩写：TR）是王国风云2第三个大型扩展包，在2013年1月15日发售，与1.09版本补丁共同发布。
本扩展包使你可以使用目前存在的九个商业共和国进行游戏：威尼斯、阿玛尔菲、热那亚、比萨、哥特兰、安科纳、拉古萨、佩奇纳以及汉萨同盟，你也可以在非铁人模式中创建自定义的商业共和国。玩家在商业共和国中扮演贵人——一个商人家族的领袖。
本扩展包除了可以让玩家使用贵人进行游戏外，其它的更新都是随1.09版本免费推送。
扩展包特性
- 全新的游戏体验，以城市地产作为省份首府，降低直辖领上限以及使用雇佣兵进行战争。
- 通过新建和升级你贸易站上的建筑来控制住欧洲航线和海岸的贸易区。
- 新的宣战理由禁运：保卫你的贸易站，和你的敌对共和国以及贪婪的封建领主对抗到底！
- 使用新的宣战理由夺取贸易站夺取沿海省份的贸易站，然后你可以通过这个贸易站夺取城市！
- 增加新的贵人选举继承法：贵人家族领袖间会通过竞选来坐上共和国的领导人——总督的宝座。你可以通过投入竞选基金来弥补年龄以及声望上的劣势。
- 因为新加入的家族宅邸建筑，就算你输掉共和国内的选举也不会结束。
- 与其它商人家族的敌对的事件以及从竞争者手上夺取贸易区。
- 全新的共和国角色界面。
- 为共和国制作了独有的肖像与船的模型。
